Visiting Ouray

The City of Ouray is the county seat for Ouray County, and is a great place to visit when traveling along the Million Dollar Highway. The city (often referred to as the Switzerland of America) is surrounded by mountains, including the famous Amphitheater, and many historic structures remain in the downtown area.

Downtown Ouray is an experience in itself. Enjoy the well-preserved buildings or visit a great shop or restaurant.

If you'd like to explore a little further afield, there are several excellent trails in the surrounding mountains, such as the 5 mile Perimeter Trail. Two other highlights include the stunning Box Canyon Falls and the relaxing Hot Springs Pool.
